Jess Johnson

Jess Johnson is the Advocacy and Legislative Liaison at the Wyoming Wildlife Federation, a co-founder and advisory board member of NWFs Artemis Intiative, and sits on the boards of 2% for Conservation, the Wyoming Chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers and the Wild Gathering. Jess is a team member of First Lite and Argali and her work centers on changing the narrative around stereotypes of hunters and advancing women’s voices within the hunting and conservation world.

Jess grew up an only child of a ranching family in Montana, Northern California and Wyoming and walked the line between ranch kid and ballerina. Her eclectic childhood instilled in her a wanderlust for wide expanses of public land, a deep appreciation and love for the wildlife that inhabit it, and a preference for the grace and strength required in archery. Since moving back to Wyoming in her early twenties she has spent most of her free time as an archery only hunter and exploring the mountains and rolling sage brush slopes of Wyoming in pursuit of the ever elusive mule deer.

Samong Yang

Samong Yang is an outdoor content creator who primarily focuses on showing the real and raw experiences of the American public land hunter and fisherman. He is a member of various conservation organizations such as the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the National Wild Turkey Federation, and Sportsmen’s Alliance that support hunters and science-based wildlife management.

Born and raised in Eastern Washington, Samong grew up chasing a wide range of wild game and fish with his family. Whether he was chasing Rocky Mountain elk in the Selkirk Mountains or angling for White Sturgeon on the Snake River, his calendar was always filled with some form of hunting and fishing year-round. As a lifelong Washington resident, his love of exploring the Evergreen State has only increased and become more contagious. Because of his constant exploration, his love and passion for wildlife and wild places have only gotten stronger. Although he enjoys the diverse hunting and fishing opportunities, nothing beats his love for rifle mule deer hunting at deer camp with his family.”

REDBEARD

My name is Johnathan (aka RedBeard). I enjoy getting outdoors as much as possibly with my family and friends. Everything from hiking, camping, playing at the park, and of course hunting. Glassing is a big part of scouting and hunting as well. There are times where sitting behind a good set of glass can take me to another place of calm as I get to watch wildlife in their natural habitat, doing what they naturally do. The four main pillars I aim to apply daily are Faith, Family, Fitness, and the Outdoors to lead to a happier, healthier, more successful life.
